now?” In recent years, survivorship has received an increasing amount of
attention in terms of the needs of this community and the care that is available

Information Resources
Living Beyond Cancer: Helps survivors to
develop the skills necessary to adjust to life after treatment.
Institute of Medicine: Has provided leadership in promoting the use of a Survivorship Care
Plan. This fact sheet focuses on the standards of care, elements of a care plan,
and the types of questions that survivors should ask their
doctor.
Practical Tips
Visit the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s
Survivorship Care Plan to access their worksheets and
guidebooks.
Survivorship guidebooks provide calendars and space for journaling to help patients keep
track of their journey.
Resources for Coping
Writing Through Cancer: a
website designed for anyone who has been touched by cancer who finds peace and
hope through writing prompts as a means of coping.
Story Corner at NBTS gives
you an opportunity to share your story with the brain tumor community at large.
Also, being a member of this online community allows you to help others and help
yourself.
