It has been a couple of exciting days in Washington, D.C.! It is Brain
Tumor Action Week, and we kicked it off with the Race for Hope, with
over 10,000 participants and almost 2 million dollars raised and
counting! I had the great privilege to participate in the run/walk again this year, and wanted to share what the experience was like:

Monday started off with Advocacy Education Day. A group of survivors,
family members, and advocates came together to learn about the key
issues that NBTS is advocating for on the Hill today. Our Director of
Public Policy, David Arons,
led the session and I met people from
Oklahoma, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and California. We
role-played and practiced what we wanted to say to our U.S.
Representatives and Senators, and we’re all ready to go to help spread
awareness about brain tumors and continue to advocate for increased
research to help find a cure!

how you can help by advocating in your hometown.
Stay tuned for more updates in the future!
