What is in your tool kit to make you an advocate for the brain tumor community and cause? As a member of the brain tumor community, you can empower yourself to be the face and voice of brain tumor patients and families nationwide.
Have a voice.
Voice your opinions and thoughts to help shape decision and action. Click here to contact your local representative or senator.
Advocate for yourself.
Here is a list of organizations that support your right to representation, education, having a voice, asking questions, and exploring your options. All of these things are ways in which you can advocate for yourself or your loved one.
Patient Advocate Foundation: Provides case management to patients with any kind of illness. These care managers mediate matters having to do with insurer, employer, or health care issues through helping patients and families access the adequate care they need.
Cancer Legal Resource Center: A national hotline based out of Southern California that offers free information on cancer-related legal issues and for patients, families, and others.
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship: Focuses on advocacy and assists patients with employment and other survivorship related issues.
