My sister went back for her 2 month checkup with Duke. They found her brain was very swollen and what they weren't sure was a tumor 2 months ago is a tumor and it has grown much bigger since the last visit. The tumor is actually crowding out her brain, distorting it. She was sleeping almost all day, getting up only to eat. I had called the local doctors many times and was told it was because of going off of steroids. They should have quit assuming and looked for themselves. Luckily she is okay and back on strong steroids. She is going to start Avastin and Cpt-11 in a few days. Anyone who is sleeping way too much and seems out of it should be checked out, get an MRI, don't ever let them just assume anything. She also has high blood sugar from the steroids that I had to point out to them too, she is now on insulin
